Blessed with the availability of about 300 sunny days in a year with solar insolation of more than 5 kWh/m²/day, the State of Andhra Pradesh is transitioning to renewable sources of energy to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy.
To meet the twin objectives of energy security and clean energy considerations, Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Policy 2018 was notified to promote widespread usage of solar power with the following objective :
>> To target a minimum total solar power capacity addition of 5,000 MW in the next five years
>> Develop solar park(s) with necessary infrastructure
>> Promote the distributed generation
